Trine is passionate about working in cross-functional teams and working with challenges and opportunities to address real unmet medical needs. She is heading up BII’s Innovation Department, which focuses on the earliest stage projects through the 3-year incubation program at the BII. The Innovation Team also leads the strategic initiative to strengthen the ecosystem within Women’s Health to create more successful start-ups.

Trine has +20 years of life science experience and a background within Life Science Venture Capital from Sunstone Capital and the Pharmaceutical industry working with strategic therapeutics portfolio management, followed by digital health at Novo Nordisk. Furthermore, she has been the CEO of Maternity Foundation, a non-profit organization developing evidence-based Digital Health tools for Maternal health. She has also been the CEO of private fertility clinics (The Fertility Partnership). Trine holds an M.Sc. in Finance and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School and a certificate in Drug Development from the European Center of Pharmaceutical Medicine (ECPM), Basel.
