As a member of the Business Development team at BII, Tony is involved in venture incubation activities at BII, ranging from stimulating applications to BII’s Venture program to working closely with BII’s Venture program participants to get investment ready.

Prior to joining BII, Tony was a team member at M Ventures (the corporate venture arm of Merck KGaA) where he was responsible for supporting and coordinating investments into frontier technologies for Merck. Tony previously worked in technology transfer and management consulting in South Africa. Tony holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Managment, Erasmus Univeristy in the Netherlands.
