New BAA Batch: From male infertility to natural colorants and stem cell therapy

On Monday, March 2, six companies start the acceleration of their commercialization with BioInnovation Institute. They have been selected amongst the early-stage projects applying for the Business Acceleration Academy and during the coming three months, they will develop a strong initial business plan for their solutions.

“The new batch of companies is widely spread in the domains of therapeutics, bio industrials and true digital health. We are focusing on commercial validation and interactions with the venture community plus the large corporations. During the program, the six companies will do deep-dive sessions on how to seek investments and negotiate better terms sheets for IP e.g.”, says Senior Business Developer, Christian Tillegreen Brix.

The six new teams in the BAA program are:

Paragit Solutions, medtech/digital health: Controlling Parkinson’s Disease progression by reliable and passive in-home symptom monitoring

Chromologics, biotech: Producing natural colorants in a more sustainable way

Ward 24/7, medtech/digital health: Transforming monitoring in high-risk patients

Fertilitypro, pharma: First in class treatment of male infertility

Lua Bio, biotech: Making your business carbon neutral

BOOST Pharma, pharma: Stem cell therapy made easy

The teams will all relocate to BII during the intensive program to take part in the hands-on development of their strategy in terms of IP and regulatory landscape, marketing, application, market analysis, competitor landscape and much more.

In addition to a grant of minimum DKK 250.000, BII offers business development and access to experienced entrepreneurs, subject matter experts and in-kind services from partners such as Plesner and Zacco.

By the end of the program, the start-ups will all graduate with a project pitch at the BII DemoDay and compete for the BII Acceleration Award on May 27, 2020.
