Apply now for a BII Proof of Concept grant

Are you looking to establish the preliminary proof of concept of your research? BioInnovation Institute has an open call for life science companies in medtech, pharma and biotech – apply before August 15 to receive a grant of up to DKK 1M.

“What differentiates the BII program from many other Proof of Concept grants is our commercial focus. There is a lot of great science at the Danish universities but to be awarded a grant from BII it must be linked to a specific problem. The selection committee is looking for projects that in the application clearly demonstrate the market need for their technology or discovery,” says Hervør Lykke Olsen.

She also advises applicants to show the novelty of the project clearly and potentially also gather early indications from third parties around the importance of exploring the technology and the impact it can have.

The Proof of Concept program has a duration of 12 months and the accepted projects continue their work at the universities. BII has already accepted 16 projects in the program. See the first batch from January 2019 here and the second batch from June 2019 here.

If you have questions, check out our program overview, our FAQ section of our website or contact Hervør Lykke Olsen on [email protected] or Cathrine Nygaard on [email protected] if you have questions.
