Business Acceleration Academy is now open for applications

Where is your market? What is your IP strategy? How do you pitch to an investor? BioInnovation Institute (BII) has just opened the biannual call for the Business Acceleration Academy (BAA) that will help you discover the commercial potential of your research. To be accepted to the program, you will need to have the preliminary proof of concept for your science within the fields of in medtech, biotech and pharma.

During the three months BAA program you will work intensely on the business development of your project to get clarity on aspects such as IP and legal, go-to-market strategy, business model, team and much more.

“Shaping a business- and development plan is an absolute necessity to attract funding. There is a lot of great science in Denmark but to make an impact and benefit patients and society, entrepreneurial researchers must also focus on how to commercialize it. This is where the BAA program comes in”, explains Christian Brix Tillegreen, business developer in the BII program team.

Getting investment ready
The BAA program is tailormade to each individual company and during the three months, you will meet potential partners, customers and investors that can help you understand what the market is looking for. You will also have help from subject matter experts on regulatory issues, IP strategy and marketing.

“If you are interested in scaling and exploring your commercial journey in the BII Creation House program that funds start-ups with up to DKK 10M per project, it is a very good investment to join the BAA program. Having a solid, initial business plan and the entrepreneurial skills to execute on it is key to be accepted in Creation House and it is exactly what you get in the Business Acceleration Program”, says Christian Brix Tillegreen.
